Known as the “Capital of the Highlands”, the city Inverness is the perfect destination to immerse yourself in all things uniquely Scottish.

That includes “the craic” – Gaelic for chat and light-hearted conversation, something you will hear a lot in the most northerly city in Britain.

Every year it hosts the Highland Games, a celebration of Scottish and Celtic culture and heritage, encompassing all that is recognised to be Scottish – from bagpipes, kilts, and events such as the caber toss.

It is also a gateway to the stunning scenery that sets the Scottish Highlands apart from anywhere else on the planet.
